About Aixam
Founded in 1983, AIXAM is now part of the US group Polaris. With two production sites in France, in Aix-Les-Bains (Savoie) and Chanas (Isère), and a 250 staff, AIXAM has gradually become the undisputed European leading manufacturer of cars not requiring a driving licence.
Today positioned on both passenger cars and commercial vehicles, AIXAM has produced more than 300,000 vehicles since its inception. AIXAM also offers the first range of 100% electric vehicles not requiring a driving licence, called e-Aixam.
As a shareholder alongside the Norbert Dentressangle group, Pechel sold its stake in 2006.
