EstVideo (now part of the Altice/Numéricable group), was the leading provider in Alsace of broadband Internet and cable-television
With more than 150,000 subscribers in 2002, Estvideo was the main cable television operator in Alsace. Since 2002, the company has enriched its service offering with the provision of Internet access and IP telephony, and has rapidly expanded its subscriber base. In 2003, the company acquired Coditel, a cable operator based in Brussels and Luxembourg, thereby doubling its size. The acquisition in 2005 of Numéricable, with the support of Pechel, gave rise to the Altice/Numéricable group, which then included Estvideo and Coditel.
Pechel participated in the majority acquisition of Estvideo from EDF in 2002 alongside Patrick Drahi. Pechel has participated in the group's successive acquisitions.
